And speaking of useless date formats…

Here's what Veritas NetBackup uses for log messages:

MM/DD/YY

And, for the file names of those log messages:

log.MMDDYY

Have you people learned nothing from Y2K? (I mean, I'd prefer ISO 8601, but I'd settle for some level of parseable sanity…)

This was slightly less irritating when I had zsh's groking of things like 01{15..26}04 around, but now that I'm stuck with ksh it is true and utter Pain.
