Got back from vacation, and one of the ports on the shitty Linksys switch they gave me for my cube was blown, meaning that I couldn't both see Outlook and do what I needed to do today. (It's 5-port switch. Port 5 was the uplink, 1 was the NetBSD workstation, 2 was the printer for the whole area because mine is the only Ethernet jack within anything resembling a reasonable distance of it, 3 was the–now dead–port for WinXP box, and I had my testbench server in 4.)
Obviously, this necessitated completely ripping my cubicle apart, down the the routing of power, and rearranging things. I went through the old data center and grabbed a UPS, a bunch of power strips, an 8-port KVM (which can support 4 consoles, though I'm only using one), and one of the man out-of-use Bay Networks 10/100 switches.
Here's an annotated picture of the whole thing.
